BUILDING HOPE

PRESENTATION

The « Building hope » programme, under the auspices of the international association « Education for an Interdependent World (EDIW) aims at encouraging people and organisations to combine their efforts in the areas of teacher training and academic cooperation between countries, continents and different cultures, with an awareness of the genuine inequalities in existence as we approach the 21st centuries.

EDIW aims at promoting a form of permanant cooperation so as to establish a network of centres and information, to encourage research and the training of teaching staff and to support long term exchanges.

Activities maintained by EDIW spring from the conviction that education is a strong force for change in building up an interdependent world of solidarity, in which teachers play a particularly important role.

Individuals and organisations involved in the « Building hope « programme share in the ideals and motivation of EDIW.S
